In our 3900 square foot facility, testing services include microbiological, physical chemical, inorganic chemical, and some organic chemical analyses.  Staff can assist with project designs and R&D efforts such as bench top treatability studies.  We have qualified and experienced technologists for on-site sampling and field monitoring programs if needed; some also hold the Ontario Ministry of Environment (MOE) Water Quality Analyst (WQA) certification.  Professional field training and tailored course instructions are available to our clients to ensure credible analytical results.  At a client’s request, staff has provided maintenance and verification for some types of field equipment. Our surface and groundwater monitoring experience includes the sampling and analyses (including field testing) of monitoring wells of small to large-scale municipal landfills, commercial and industrial sites.   Other field services include distribution sampling for water systems as well as surface water lake profiling.  NNL field staff often work at the request and direction of engineering/consulting firms and waterworks operational staff. Services are provided in occupational hygiene sampling and air quality monitoring e.g. moulds, noxious fumes, particulates and odor parameters based on EPA’s NIOSH and OSHA protocols.

Our quality

The company has developed an extensive Quality Management System and is accredited by the Canadian Association for Analytical Laboratories (CALA) under the ISO Standard 17025 (CAN-P-4E) for specific environmental analyses.  The laboratory is also licenced by the MOE for specific drinking water analyses.
